How To Do Non-Exact Match In Excel
It's easy to match data with a VLOOKUP when the data you're trying to match is exact. But many times you want to match data that is non-exact. This is something called fuzzy matching and in this post I will show you how you can quickly do that using the free Microsoft Excel Fuzzy Lookup plugin
If you're using one of the latest versions of Microsoft Office (later than Office 2016). You may be able to use the built-in fuzzy logic match feature in PowerQuery. This claims to work with some older versions of Excel as well. It only takes a few minutes to test it out so worth a try if you're using an earlier version of Excel.
